Carl-Friedrich-Gauss-Gymnasium (CFGG) puts great emphasis on the European idea and offers its students opportunities to deal with the topic of Europe within the curriculum as well as outside it — e.g. in the form of exchanges, extracurricular projects and school trips. We also offer students bilingual classes in the subjects Politics, History and Geography to promote English language learning and have international partners in China, Poland and Ireland. CFGG in general is dedicated to fostering active and self-controlled learning processes and to promoting collaborative learning methods in the classroom to lay the foundation for life-long learning.
The CFGG teachers have been engaging in language and cultural exchange with schools associated with Bridge21 for the last 4 years. They have expertise in developing and coordinating engaging learning experiences using computer-mediated communication tools. The CFGG team will be developing the second section of the handbook, which will focus on language and cultural exchange.
