The partners at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) are based in the The Centre for Research in IT in Education (CRITE), which is a collaboration between the School of Education and the School of Computer Science & Statistics in TCD. For years they have been working to develop a pedagogical model of 21st century teaching and learning, called Bridge21, for teaching various subjects, such as digital media literacy, mathematics, computer programming, peer tutoring, history, information literacy and second language learning. The TCD partners have worked with thousands of students since 2007. Moreover, they work closely with schools and teachers to help them adapt the Bridge21 model for use in the mainstream classroom. Given this background, the TCD partners are the lead on this TfaST project, managing its overall direction.
